Greetings from the Dean, PG School

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the School of Postgraduate Studies and Research of Igbinedion University Okada, Edo State Nigeria.

The vision of the Postgraduate School is in tandem with the University’s vision and mission of being the best among peers. The main objective is to produce professionals and academics who would change the narratives in Arts, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Science and technology. Our programmes are driven by innovation, global competitiveness and entrepreneurship.

As a way of ensuring that our students become qualified graduates who should be able to demonstrate mastery of knowledge and contribute to existing body of knowledge, they are exposed to practical skills from the industry.

All students of the postgraduate school have both academic and industry-based supervisors and this has contributed immensely to in-depth and problem-solving research works geared toward Research Development, Demonstration and Deployment (RDDD).

With a wide range of our local and international partners, students’ exchange and research collaboration has given a boost to our students in every field of interest.

Igbinedion University boasts of a smart campus with five vibrant IT Academies which makes blended learning easy and interesting for our postgraduate students. Also, with state-of-the-art laboratories, physical and e-libraries, our students can only soar.

The cordial relationship existing between staff and students makes learning and research fun. Our graduates over the years are leaving their marks in the sands of time with their creativity, scholarship, entrepreneurship and problem solving research works.
